Pakistan needs to step up…

You might have heard of this brave 14 year old kid, that speaks up about womens right to education. There are not many of her kind, cause it´s dangerous to have an opinion about taliban if you live in Afghanistan & Pakistan. Taliban have twice tried to kill this girl-she is hospitalized right now, because the was shot in the head twice. Now she is fighting for her life. But I´m afraid they will get her some day if she survives, because the government does nothing to protect their people. It´s so sad. I really don´t get it.

Great post, but still so sad..
You almost have to pay with your life
if you’re standing up against things you don’t agree with.
    Such a shame…

Isn’t it ironic though; the taliban are really really afraid of women. This girl should have won the nobel peace prize. She is a shining example what one person can do.
I hope that for once the government in Pakistan says enough is enough and prosecutes properly.

They are protecting her rights now in Pakistan while financially aiding her too. I just thought you would be glad to know!:-)

      • Gilraen says:

Yes I am, and I hope it will be a positive change, not only for her, but also other girls that simply want to go to school and feel afraid.

I know, but it´s awful that so many other people don´t have these rights. The Pakistani government only steps up when the world is looking.

    • gullhasnat says:

I agree with you people, let’s hope that they continue on the right path! But just one thing, they don’t always take away people’s rights when no body is looking! That’s a misconception. Research has shown that every year women there are advancing in every field and more laws are being passes supporting there rights, that all has to be good right?

      • monicaali says:

Nice that positive things are happening. But I am not only talking women´s rights but also ethnic & religious minorities that are getting target killed every week. A big part of my family have fled the country the last ten years. They have been in jail in other countries, because of it & hiding on boats trying to reach Australia & other countries. So sad & it seems that nobody knows : (
